Summary

StrataWorks is moving to a modern Angular frontend with improved filter design workflows, clearer frequency labels, and stronger reliability and accessibility thanks to expanded automated testing. Existing workflows remain supported during the transition — expect a smoother design experience and improved export/download behavior for RF calculations.

1. New Angular frontend (initial V2 build) added — smoother, modern single-page UI
   1. The new Angular front-end provides a refreshed Filter Designer experience and modernized routing. The legacy site remains available during the transition.
   2. No user data migration required for this initial roll-out.
2. Improved reliability and accessibility
   1. Expanded automated test coverage (unit, API, E2E, and accessibility checks) reduces regressions and improves product quality and confidence for public releases.
   2. Accessibility improvements include keyboard navigation and focus management fixes for the account menu and other interactive elements.
3. Better filter designer usability
   1. The filter designer now retains user-entered center frequency and bandwidth when switching compatible filter orders or topologies, preventing unnecessary resets.
   2. Chart behavior improved: the chart auto-updates viewport on parameter changes by default with an option to preserve user zoom/pan when desired.
4. Cleaner frequency labels and numeric displays
   1. Frequency input labels now show dynamic Start/Stop guidance, and displayed frequencies have reduced floating-point artifacts for a cleaner UI.
5. RF calculation correctness for AQ208 filters
   1. Insertion-loss padding rules refined for AQ208 eighth-order filters to improve RF compliance behavior and matching of expected outputs.
6. Hosting and deployment improvements
   1. New configuration for Fly.io and improved Render deployment scripts make it easier to run and scale StrataWorks on modern cloud platforms.
